Isolation Transports for COVID-19

To ensure the safety of our passengers who have not been exposed to Covid-19, IBM Transportation has allocated specific vehicles exclusively for the transport of patients who have, or may have, been exposed. Our Certified EMT or Paramedic-driven Isolation Vehicles have undergone special modifications to provide maximum protection. The driver cockpit has been separated from the main passenger cabin, all upholstery and carpeting have been covered in plastic for easy cleaning after every transport, and a Plexiglas divider has been installed to separate our wheelchair and other equipment from the patient. Our drivers wear full-length PPE, and we sanitize the vehicle and equipment using three different strengths of hospital and industrial grade disinfectants between every transport. We also deep clean at the end of every shift and reapply a 30-day anti-microbial barrier on all interior and PPE surfaces twice each week. With these safety measures in place, we are able to provide dedicated drivers and vehicles to transport patients who have been exposed, while clearly differentiating our services to better protect those passengers, drivers, and facilities who have not been exposed.
